About MeMeticulous and detail-oriented, I specialize in proofreading marketing materials and am adept at ensuring numbers, images, and copy align with each other while also adhering to brand standards. I am particularly skilled at documents involving a mix of graphics and text, including packaging, labels, retail flyers, websites, signage, brochures and advertising materials, and have experience working with material for various international markets.
A lover of books, I also excel at proofreading both fiction and non-fiction. In addition to looking for typos and formatting errors, I will read your novel for consistency and continuity, ensuring a seamless reading experience for your audience. I am happy to work with self-publishing authors, as well as traditional (and not so traditional) publishers. No matter what type of project, I will make sure it is proofread on time and on budget. Having worked in-house in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments, I know the importance of sticking to a timeline and producing deliverables on schedule. As colleagues will attest, I am also friendly and approachable, eager to answer any questions or help solve any problems you may have. In addition to my in-house experience, I have worked on a number of freelance projects. Clients have included Figure 1 Publishing, SwissRidge Kennels, Harlequin, University of Toronto Press, and Oxford University Press Canada. I am a graduate of Ryerson University’s Publishing program and an avid volunteer with Editors Canada. |
